We went back to one my favorite parks this morning. It was a little chilly at first, but warmed up quickly. The fresh air was good for all of us because we all seemed to be struggling with the time change and were more tired and cranky than usual.
Today I used my 50mm f/1.8 outdoors, where I usually use my kit lens so that I can zoom in and get all the great shots. I forgot how amazingly sharp that lens is outdoors!! Maybe I’ll prefer prime lenses after all! (I returned my Tamron. It was way too slow for my tastes and I’m not willing to exchange it for another Tamron, even if some people say it might be the copy. I ordered a used 35mm-70mm f/2.8 Nikon lens for about the same price as a Tamron at www.usedcameras.com. It has a smaller focal range, but it’s still in the range I’m looking for, and it’s also a Nikon so the quality will be better.)
Today I noticed how many things the two of my children have in common. The way they move, talk, and gesture are eerily similar. Days like today make me feel like I really do have twins.
These are from the same park, but in the grassy area that overlooks into the backyard patios of the neighborhood nearby. Someone’s dog was barking so they went off to check it out. Then they started barking back at the dog. It was adorable, although probably not for the neighbors.
Their stance is almost identical in these three photos. I love them.
Some other super cute ones. This is Cooper’s nervous stance. He’s done it since he was a baby. My husband does the same motion when he’s nervous or excited (except only with one hand). Charlotte has recently started mimicking Cooper on this.
This one reminds me that I need to learn to toggle my focus points more quickly. I got Cooper in focus here, but I would have liked to have Charlotte in focus because her face is oh.so.adorable.
Blown out, but still a cute one of Charlotte. (Her pants were wet because of the wet slides.)
Another cute face. I have no idea what she was doing. (That blue and purple cast is TOUGH to get rid of!)
Cooper decided to be an exhibitionist today. Or maybe he just didn’t like his pants being wet. He’s a funny kid. (This is the only one of his face from today. He was always running away from me!)

Cooper is just adorable here. I LOVE how similar their stances are in the first few pictures. There is something adorable about a picture of toddlers from behind. I love them.
Salina,
it's not just the hands on the head that reminds me of Christopher it is every single one of Cooper's stances.. especially the one with his head tilted to one side. Crazy similar. Too similar for words.. does Maile do things that I do.. I've never really noticed. Besides the fact that she repeats what I say which is sometimes good and sometimes bad.. I've never noticed any behaviors. I'll have to start paying more attention.
those are some pretty cute pics. i love the ones with the pants at the ankle, lol. your kids are too flippen cute.
