Almost everyday they ask to color. It’s definitely a favorite activity. Charlotte is starting to pick up the crayon from the paper and then set it back down as she sounds out consonants. She is mimicking when I spell words and names. They will both point to words and tell me what they ‘say’. It’s amazing to me that they are beginning to understand that letters have sounds and those sounds make words which have meaning. I mean they’re only 2!
They also talk about what they’re coloring now. So Charlotte will say ball and color the ball and Cooper will say eye and color all the eyes. Then because Cooper is saying eye, Charlotte starts coloring all the eyes. So cute.
I’m very curious to see which hand will dominate. So far they both seem to favor their right hand, but they use their left hands quite a bit too.
Charlotte with her right hand.
And then switching to her left hand.
Cooper with his right hand, but using his left to really concentrate.
Cooper using both hands just before he made the switch (which I then missed because he started being all crazy).

I LOVE these photos, but especially the first one of Cooper. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the angle.
